Excellent cottage, no improvements needed. Miss W, Rotherham, South Yorkshire 24 October 2010
This was our second visit to the Old Orchard and it was just as perfect as the first. The accommodation is superb and the welcome is wonderful with lots of individual touches to make your stay special. The Old Orchard is perfectly placed to explore the beautiful Yorkshire coast, the lovely countryside and historic towns in the area. The log fire and wonderfully equipped cosy cottage make it very difficult to leave! Mrs H, SHEFFIELD, South Yorkshire 20 October 2010
Exceptional quality in both cottage and 'welcome pack' from owners. Flowers, chocolates, strawberries & cream, tea, coffee, sugar ,biscuits and all toiletries etc. needed were there waiting for you. I would highly recommend this cottage to all my friends. Mrs T, TONBRIDGE 18 September 2010
The Old Orchard is a fantastic property with everything you need and more. The owners are welcoming and cannot do enough for you. There were special little homely touches that were added that you do not normally get in rental properties which made it all the more special. Easy access to Scarborough, Bridlington and Filey, a wonderful place to stay. Miss O, Redditch, Worcestershire 29 August 2010
First class holiday experience. Fully deserves its 'Ultimate' rating. Would recommend to anyone. Mr L, DERBY, Derbyshire 19 June 2010
This is such a relaxing spot for unwinding, you leave lifes stresses behind as you walk through the door. The welcoming flowers, chocolates, strawberries and cream are wonderful and there is milk, tea, coffee, sugar provided, along with a packet of special biscuits. This has been our second romantic weekend here and I would recommend the old orchard to anyone. There are lots of interesting walks and the local pub is comfortable and welcoming. Mrs R, Leeds, West Yorkshire 15 June 2010
I have just come back from a few days at The Old Orchard with my fiance and it couldn't have been better. A beautiful cottage, clean, tidy, and we didn't want to come home. Breakfast on the patio watching the sheep; fishing in the private lake - and we only caught a few tiddlers, but my partner had a great time catching them. Would definitely recommend it and will definitely be going back. Close enough to the seaside, but if you don't want to venture - the cottage is just perfect for chilling. We loved every minute of it and would like to thank Mr and Mrs Dixon for the lovely welcome goodies. Miss T, SHEFFIELD, South Yorkshire 20 April 2010
The cottage was absolutely beautiful and the welcome was even better. Little extras such as milk in the fridge and chocolates and fruit were much appreciated and made us feel right at home. All the luxuries made the whole weekend easy and relaxing. Miss A, Leeds, West Yorkshire 16 April 2010
This is a lovely cottage in a great location central to so many interesting places to visit in all directions. The owners make a big effort to make sure your stay is memorable and the welcoming gifts on arrival are very generous. The cottage is very well equipped and the bed is very comfortable. The cottage stands on it's own next to fields, so is in a peaceful location. Mr B, Llangollen, Denbighshire 11 April 2010
Outstanding holiday cottage, the owners were extremely friendly and the welcome pack was exceptional, fruit, flowers and chocolate were very appreciated. We will definitely be back again, we couldn't have asked for anything else, and everything was thought of. Also this holiday was even more memorable as its were my partner asked me to marry him!! Unforgettable in so many ways! Miss W, BOSTON, Lincolnshire 23 November 2009
We have used Hoseasons for almost 40 years and always have good holiday accommodation. This one is superb and cannot be faulted. Mrs H, SHEFFIELD 18 November 2009
We have just spent a fabulous short break at the The Old Orchard. The accommmodation is superb and the location is perfect to enjoy the beautiful Yorkshire Coast. Mr and Mrs Dixon have equipped the cottage to an outstanding specification, and even include top quality toiletries and a lovely welcome pack. We always book our holidays with Hoseasons and have never been disappointed, but none have been better than the The Old Orchard. We will definitely be going back! Mrs H, Sheffield, 26 October 2009
Excellent as a base for outings, or just relaxing watching the sheep. Mrs K, SPENNYMOOR 20 September 2009
The cottage is ideal for 2 people and is beautifully furnished and equipped. The owners had thought of everything, even to a lovely welcoming 'pack' with milk, fruit, chocolate and flowers. It has a lovely sheltered patio with morning sun - ideal for Al Fresco breakfasts and a very quiet location. A great base for visiting the area. Mr H, BOURNEMOUTH 17 June 2009
This was our perfect holiday, within easy reach of the beach, shop and pubs, yet it is in the middle of the countryside where you could walk and not meet another soul. The cottage was beautiful and comfortably furnished with lots of surprise extras to make our holiday complete. The owners had thought of everything when they made this cottage available. Mrs R, LEEDS 06 June 2009
The accommodation and the welcome certainly had the "Wow" factor. Everything to make our stay wonderful had been thought of, from top quality toiletries, toilet rolls and tissues in abundance to tea, coffee sugar and milk to last the full stay. The extras - fresh flowers, chocolates and even strawberries and cream were added touches so much appreciated. Sitting on the patio for morning coffee we could even watch the sheep being fed. The walks around the cottage are spectacular, you can walk for miles and not see another human being and can select from either countryside or beach walks. A welcoming local pub and village store are also within walking distance. Sue and Andrew are brilliant host and hostess - we'll go back soon!
! Mrs R, LEEDS, 06 April 2009
This was a lovely and peaceful holiday, just what we needed and the owners were very welcoming. We cannot wait to return back to this property. Mr B, Burnley, Lancashire 20 March 2009
Fantastic cottage, with little extras that made all the difference. It was -5 degrees when we were up there but the cottage was always cosy and warm and the wood burner was a great plus. One of the nicest cottages we have stayed at and can thoroughly recommend! Mr I, INGATESTONE, 17 January 2009
In 40 years of self-catering holidays, this was the best accommodation ever. Mr W, Reading 31 October 2008
The accommodation was lovely, the decor and finish of the property was superb and it was very well equipped with lots of little extras. The owners were very nice, friendly and helpful. Mr S, Derby 06 October 2008
The cottage had been very thoughtfully equipped with lots of unexpected extras. The owners were charming and couldn't have been more helpful. The quality of the fixtures and fitting was very high and the cottage was in a rural location yet had easy access to major routes. Very well placed for trips to the east Yorkshire coast including Flamborough Head and the North Yorkshire railway can be explored easily on a day trip. The private fishing lake was a real bonus. Mrs K, Luton, Bedfordshire 01 September 2008
This is a beautifully appointed cottage for two (plus one) with excellent open plan living space. The attention to detail was fantastic and our welcome was very warm. The location is very quiet with fields around and a lovely lane for leisurely strolls. The road links to other areas were good too. Mr M, Westerham, Kent 25 August 2008
it was a wonderfully peaceful setting. The accommodation was of a very high standard and the owners had added several little extras to make it very special - just keep up the good work! Mrs H, Grimsby 28 July 2008
